I thought I'd forgotten the happy sad rain.

I've never liked the rain. I grew up with snow and now I live in the sun, but I've always had a distaste for rain. At least, that used to be the case - that used to be me. But now I am a different me. The old me, the first me - no, the previous me, has been assimilated.

It makes me sad now. When I wake up to the rushing pattering sound outside, I feel a brief surge of special happiness. That's why it makes me sad.

Can these memories really be 'mine'?
